CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
JAMES BOND
(English accent – RP) (M, 13 years old) A young spy in the making. A new student at Eton College in 1933, James is mature for his age but still just a boy with a boy’s view of the world. Initially awed by his intimidating new school, James quickly makes friends, stands up to bullies, and gathers the resolve he needs to face a rogue’s gallery of sinister villains. Tough, danger-loving with a strong sense of right and wrong, and a streak of dry wit.
Actors aged 18 or over were invited to apply.
As further novels in the Young Bond series are intended for adaptation, the intention was to retain the same young actor as Bond aged from 13 to 15.
WILDER LAWLESS
(Scottish accent – Highlands) (F, 16 years old) A fiercely independent and free-spirited ally of the young James Bond, who saves his life more than once. A skilled horse rider, Wilder is bold, brave, highly capable, and faces danger with a laugh.
Actors aged 18 or over were invited to apply.
